Good Faith Estimate / No Surprises Notice
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under federal law, health care providers are required to give clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of expected charges for medical and mental health services.
Narrows Counseling is a private-pay practice. If you are not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of services.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service or at any time during treatment. The estimate will include expected charges for reasonably anticipated services based on the information available at the time it is created.
Please note:
- a Good Faith Estimate is not a contract
- actual services and charges may vary depending on clinical needs, scheduling, and changes in treatment planning
- out-of-network reimbursement, if available, depends on your individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed
If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill as allowed by law.
